“All chiropractors are different. It’s almost like handwriting… it’s going to turn out a little bit different.”
— Chandra Kenyon Hill
“Creativity” isn’t a word that people tend to associate with the healthcare field, but Chandra Kenyon Hill exercises it in her practice every day.
As a chiropractor who specializes in wellness care through vitalistic principles, holistic wellness is a major aspect of her work and requires a lot of collaboration with her clients… and often a lot of creativity.
Body pain can stem from both physical and emotional issues. Chandra focuses on developing a patient-doctor partnership that facilitates mutual discovery — a process by which the two work together to create an effective healing plan involving diet, exercise, and treatment.
This work can be both physically and mentally draining
“I am a very busy person. I’m always rushing over here, I’ve got two minutes to be there, whatever,” Chandra says. “My ritual in regards to taking care of patients and being at the office is just making sure that I’m grounded 100% of the time and fully present when I step in the door.”
She also does a lot of yoga and breath work to keep herself centered.
In this episode of the podcast, you’ll discover:
- The physical effects that thoughts and emotions can have on your health
- How chiropractic is actually much more than just a treatment for neck and back pain
- How one chiropractor’s practice can be completely different from another’s — and why it matters
